According to my Insight cable and internet bill, the franchising authority is KY0437 City of Bellemeade, 108 Tristan Road, Louisville, KY 40222-5329.
That same bill reflects a nearly $20.00 rate increase. I have basic and classic cable and regular internet. This is simply a rate increase, not a charge for an increase in service. In fact, I am getting less service, fewer channels, and the internet is at snail pace (It used to be much faster.). Additionally, I can no longer receive those TV channels that went digital. If I want to receive digital channels, I have to pay an even higher rate and use one of those ugly digital converter boxes.
I learned this morning that there are lower rates available for a "select few."
My point in this posting is two-fold. One, there is always strength in numbers. Accordingly, I am asking everyone in Bellemeade to call Insight (502 357 4400) and object to the rate insreases. Second, I am asking the Bellemeade City Commission, as the franchise authority, to officially review the current Insight billing practices and service on behalf of the citizenery of Bellemeade and then contact Insight to also object to the rate increases.
