Is there a sign posted for NO solicitation? Its extremely annoying to be bothered by people solicitaing at your home. Today some men came knocking on my door just as I was getting my children into the bath and ready for bed. Isnt there a no solicitation policy in our neighborhood? If I ddnt call you to come to my house I surely dont want you bothering me by knocking on my door. They were from gutter magician and some other gutter helmet type companies. I didnt stand around to listen to their pitch I told them I didnt have time and shut the door. Can something be done about strange people walking around our neighborhood knocking on our doors? It seems very intrusive. 

I don't know if there is, but there should be!    I was in my front yard trying to enjoy the weather and on a personal phone call and they tried to interrupt... Bothersome

At this point we do not have a sign like that. Something to think about.

I have been dealing with this problem for several months.  Please read the 11 posts in "Unwanted Solicitations" on this Discussion Board.

Metro Ordinances does require a "Peddlers Permit" to do door to door soliciting.  As I stated in the referenced post, it is a small plastic ID looking somethinglike our drivers' license.  According to Officer George Dahl ofLMPD, it says "PEDDLERS PERMIT" across the top. 

Ask to see the permit;  if he/she/they doesn't/don't have it,  call LMPD.  They WILL respond.  They did when I called.

I also got the following from Officer Dahl:  post a "No Trespassing" sign somewhere on your property.  It does not have to be a huge sign.
