Larry, good question. The thought has crossed my mind more than once as you well know.
But, right now I am very busy doing landscape work and cutting lawns as a fill-in for a close friend that had a heart attack and it looks like I may wind up taking on more customers. Truthfully, I nearly went totally nuts during the first 3 weeks after I retired from education; now I am happy as a kid with a new toy and getting my body in shape (again). |

It is good to see five folks seeking four seats; having to choose is a good thing in our representative form of government. Given that, we need to know more about the candidates to make a wise choice. Perhaps a little bio and/or statement of why each candidate wants to represent us would be a big help in making that decision. Ya think??
I must take this opportunity to throw in a kind word for one of the candidates because I have seen him do things that prove that he is deserving of re-election. Brian Hill has gone far beyond just serving on the Commission.
After the commission approved the speed humps on North Chadwick, he worked closely with Metro to get the job done in short order. He has replaced damaged signs throughout Bellemeade with no charge for labor. He and Larry erected the stop signs on North Chadwick again saving labor costs. He stayed on top of the repair on the Bellemeade entrance insuring that we didn't get burned. He has been quick to respond to sticky questions. He has shown that he is very judicious in his votes on financial matters. I am sure there are more examples like these that I don't know about since he goes about his service in such a quiet way, non-selfish manner. For that, I thank him and do plan to vote for him in November. Good job Brian!!!!!!!! |
