I appreciate the posts about the suspicious van. We need to look out for each other and stay alert. Are we getting Block Watch signs? Apparantly two more speed humps are not even under discussion. Why? |

Do you get Neighborhood Watch alerts? I don't. The only way I found out about the van was from posts and the picture Larry took and posted on here. But, he is keeping the other stuff about the van undercover. Why?
Speed humps? What speed humps? Are you serious? Stuff like that results from progressive leadership. Honey, you may as well forget about the speed humps and the additional police patrols. |

Speed humps and those "contracted" additional police patrols? Let it go; we are not going to get them despite what we think or need. I got taught a very valuable lesson in my efforts to get local help on the speeding problem, so I am now a member of the DDD (Disgruntled Disenchanted Doubters). I also learned whom I can depend on and whom not to depend on. (How many grammar rules did I destroy in that sentence?) Miss Kitty and Ms Muff, you're both so right when you say we have to look out for each other.
I am thankful for the efforts by LMPD. LMPD does respond as quickly as they can, but have you ever seen how LARGE the area is that is the responsibility of the 8th Division? And thanks to Officer Pickett for periodically putting the speed alert machine in my yard and for helping out in other situations..
By the way Miss Kitty, I like your new SUV, but be careful driving in Bellemeade that you don't hit that HUGE cat and mess up that shinny black paint.. And, park it in your garage so the thieves can not cut the catalytic converter off of it. Yes, even in the daytime. |
