City of Bellemeade

A speeding driver came within inches (less than four) of hitting my wife while she was at the mailbox.  He never made any attempt to move over toward the middle of the street.  She was horrified!  Does anybody have the gumption to come up with a plan to slow down the drivers on North Chadwick Road?  Speeding vehicles often come within inches of residents on the side of the street.  Why do we have to become antagonistic to call attention to the seriousness of this long-standing problem?  Is it going to take a death or a mangaled, barely alive innocent resident to get resolution?

Bless her heart.  You know, I wonder the same thing mnyself about their vanilla response to citizen concerns.  Seems like you have to fire off a cannon to get them to listen and  furthermore "crap" on that business of them not listening unless we come to that crowed little closet for one of their "feel good" meetings.. Folks have lives and other things to do other than meeting with a group of people who are concerned about our well being just one day a month. Thanks to Reba for pointing out that parenting is much more important than a city commission meeting. And she is right, you people do not listen unless the issue is brought to the meeting.  That is pure Bull!! Are their ears closed the other 30, 29, 0r 27 days of the month? Some people think I am a s--t because I have chosen to speak up.  I have been in this community for a long time and rarely ever said anything openly until Reba got me riled up last fall prior to the election.  Since then, I look at this site daily.
