City of Bellemeade

Intimidating walkers???

Posted in: Bellemeade - Bellemeade

I know the Bellemeade streets are public thoroughfares and access is open to anyone who is abiding by the law.  However, I have seen and have heard from three other residents that we seemingly are having incidents of two young (late teen . 20s) non-resident males and one female around or shortly after dusk.  These particular visitors have been observed walking in the middle of the street in somewhat of an intimidating manner forcing drivers to slow and swerve to get past them. The "walkers" have been observed on Dorchester, Charing Cross, North Chadwick, Whipps Mill, Whipps Bend, Holston, and Bellemeade.

Does anyone have any more information?

Yes, one of my neighbors and I have seen them several times both on foot or in a grey Chevy Impala or a dark grey Honda Accord.  They apparently visit a Bellemeade resident and so far do not seem to be a problem other than walking in the middle of the street.  They are hard to see as it gets dark.

That sounds like the same car that did Bob Elliotts driveway that he's not happy with.  Rick Doyle, dark gray chevy impala; with black rims.

Also, if you EVER see "suspecious people" that are unfamiliar to you, or look as though they don't belong, you can call police.
