I recently volunteered to be your Neighborhood Block Watch Captain and would love to meet each and everyone of Bellemeade residents soon. In the mean time, if anybody has any questions, suggestions, concerns on how we can improve our program, please contact me at 904-422-3376 or dtrimble760@yahoo.com.

I live at 210 Woodcleft and try and walk around different streets in the city every few nights and hope to meet alot of you during my walks. The weather is turning nice which brings out all sorts of people from all areas either just enjoying a nice stroll or scopping out different neighborhoods. Just be aware of your surroundings and people in it.

Also, if you have a elderly neighbor that doesn't get out much, check on them from time to time just to make sure they're ok. Or if there are any areas that you might want me to personally check out, again, please contact me.

I'm looking forward to our many years in Bellemeade and look forward to meeting everyone.

First of all, thank you very much for your involvement.

It seems to me that no plan to quickly alert is the greatest shortfall of the so-called Bellemeade Neighborhood Watch program.  I do realize that people work and are not at home during certain hours.  So, who disseminates information during those hours?  Why does information NOT flow both ways?  What good does it do to read 11 hours later that scammers are in the neighborhood?  By that time they could have ripped off several someones and be on the road halfway back to Atlanta.  See what I mean.

I have talked to more than 20 Bellemeade residents who say that the reasons NW is not working  are the lack of urgency along with no alert plan.  Can you change that?  If not, let's just forget a Bellemeade Neighborhood Watch.  Plus, some people seem to forget that not everyone has cell phones and computers.

You're welcome.

How should we alert everyone quickly?  I am not sure how to do that.  I don't think that posting something on this site will do the job because as Cat mentioned, not all residents have computers.
