City of Bellemeade

Dear Mayor,

There is a service provided in the city of St. Mathews from the last day of Oct till Nov 5. During this time they provide a service to remove the leaves you have raked or blown to the curb area in front your property.

I would like to request that the the City Council look into the feasibility of having some similar service provided for the residents of our city. Perhaps the lawn service that maintains the common areas in our city could provide this service as well.

I believe, as is true in St. Mathews, it would be a service many residents would find very helpful to them and would contribute to the overall appearance of our city during the fall season.

Excellent idea except the cost is probably way too much for our city.  Some people do clean the leaves off their property and have them looking pristine only to have their yard covered by the leaves from neighbors who never clean theirs up.  My husband has cleaned up our neighbor's leaves every year for years - the aggravating thing is that he has to clean them off of our yard. 

Doesn't Metro clean leaves from Metro streets?  North Chadwick, you should check on that.
