Bellevue Hale Neighborhood Assoc.

Hi- I am a nurse going to school for an advanced degree. One of my assgnments is to identify potentially negative findings within the community. These findings may detrimentally affect people’s health within the community. I am fairly new to the area so am asking for help in identifying these issues and develop a game plan to help resolve them including resources. I have noticed there seems to be more panhandlers in the area-- why? related to the legalization of marijuana? proximity of capitol hill? colfax?   Did the relocation of the University and VA negatively impact te area.? Are the empty medical campuses a probem? What other concerns do you have about your neighborhood that you think could be addressed by a community health nurse plan???? Are there certain community leaders or people that would be beneficial for me to talk with?  thanks so much for your insight!
