Presidents Message:

It was so nice to see so many people at the ribbon cutting for the park on Nov. 2nd. What a great place we have in our neighborhood. The ceremony went very well and the Mushrush?’s and the Locklear?’s were very happy. We had 20 of the Locklear?’s there and the stories they told about our neighborhood were fantastic. The city and county commissioners, representatives from our police and sheriffs departments were there as well as many other people that have been involved in the park and levee projects. Thanks to everyone who turned out for the event. For those of you that couldn?’t make it, I have pictures for everyone to see at the upcoming meeting on Nov. 14th.

For those of you that have Comcast TV, on channel 19 you can see about a 15 minute episode about our neighborhood. Michele Mician from the Neighborhood Partnership office is on first and then you can see and hear myself and Carolyn Peet talk about Bellevue Terrace. You can get the scheduled broadcast times from the SCGOV.NET website - look for City Life. It is scheduled to be aired for about 3 more weeks. We will also play the video for those attending the Nov. 14th meeting.

For the people that did not get to come to the meeting in September, Officer Kim Swats of the Gang Task Force was unable to attend but she will be at the Nov. 14th meeting. Lt. McVey of the SPD, a representative from the Sheriffs Dept. and Commissioner Dan Bilyeu will also be attending the meeting.

The ideas and information about our neighborhood and the city that they bring to the meetings is very informative and important to our neighborhood as well as to the safety of our loved ones, so please try to attend the meeting. Bring a friend - Everyone is welcome and your input is very important to help keep our neighborhood a wonderful place to live.

**** It?’s Election Time Again ******
It?’s that time again! This is the month we hold our annual election of the board members for the up coming year. I have been President for four years and would like to see someone else take over. We don't have a lot left to do except keep things up the way they are and I would stay on as a consultant, so if anyone else would like to volunteer to take the position, I would be happy to pass the gavel.

I love living here in Bellevue Terrace and want to see it continue to be a well respected and highly desirable place to live. ?“A successful neighborhood starts from the inside and not the outside - get involved?”

**** Stay informed ****
Everyone - Please come to the meeting and share your ideas and thoughts with your neighbors. We also have some new neighbors that would like to meet everyone.

Hope to see everyone on the 14th.
Mickey Emberton,
President BTNA
