Presidents Message:

I was glad to see a lot of people at the meeting for the power point presentation on our new police station. This is a well-needed building for our police department, the building on Ringling has so many maintenance issues that it is not worth trying to repair.

We have a lot of new people moving into the neighborhood and that is nice to see, a lot with young families that are using our park. This is just a reminder to all our neighbors, new and old, that trash cans and recyclable containers can not be put out before 5:00 pm the day before pickup and they have to be put back BEHIND the front of your home the day they are picked up. Code enforcement has notified the association that many trash cans and recyclable containers are sitting out in front of homes for extended periods of time and if they see it continuing they will start issuing citations when they come through our neighborhood.

Its Garage Sale time again, we are planning a sale for March 24th. Betty Town will be in charge of the advertising for our neighborhood. Oak Shores and the neighborhood just west of us would like to get involved also. Please call Betty to let her know that you want to join in. We will advertise in the papers and channel 19 so if you have something special that you want to put in the advertisements, let her know. Her phone number is 724-2565 or you call me if you can?’t reach Betty. My number is 376-5276.

On March 13th we will be voting for three commissioners for District 3, our neighborhood and Arlington Park will have a forum for the two people that are running for our district. Please come to the Waldamere Fire Station on February 23rd and talk with them. Get answers to your questions and any concerns you may have about our city and where it is going.

Also on the 13th of March there will be a referendum to vote for the police station. PLEASE vote yes for this new building and if you have questions please call me.

THE MEETING WILL BE AT THE GAZEBO IN THE PARK ON MARCH 13TH
