If you have an opportunity to drive by the Regis Square
Apartment Complex (no affiliation to Regis University) on
West 52nd Avenue between Tennyson and Sheridan, be reminded
of what can happen to a community. We consistently asked
Mr. Dimig to come to our meetings. He made excuses or
refused and, now, we see the end result. Mr. Dimig also
owns the apartment building on 52nd and Lowell where the
"For Rent" sign is in view for the new three-acre, 72-unit
complex on 52nd Avenue. We believe developers should have
the courtesy to meet with neighbors and be willing to show
plans for their development. We tried, but the zoning was
in place since 1973 when the Adams Commissioners believed we
would get a replica of the Space Needle in Seattle. It
would be funny if it weren't so tragic.




BERKELEY NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION will write checks to
Centennial and Berkeley Gardens Schools for $250 each, to be
used to buy school supplies for children in need or for
classroom supplies. Thanks to all neighbors who donate yard
sale items or have BNA memberships. This is what we can do
when we work together.
