Berry Valley

Someone fired several shots on Sunday evening, December 4, 2011 in the Richmond Way area.  Four of those gunshots hit my property, causing damage to my husband's work truck, a bay window in our living room and siding on the house which was not discovered until Monday, December 5.  One of my neighbors and my husband heard shots fired but did not see anyone in the vicinity.  If you have any information or saw anything between 11:30 p.m. and midnight on December 4, regarding this malicious destruction of property, please step up and do your civic duty.  A police report has been filed.  Thank you.

Sorry to hear about the shooting in Berry valley.  I have spoken with the Charles County Sheriffs Office about the crime & drug dealing in Berry Valley.  They now make regular patrols in Berry Valley to help reduce the crime.  We encourage residents to report suspicious or criminal activity to 911 or the non emergency # 301-932-7777.  Together we can make our neighborhood a safer place to live.

I must be living in a bubble.  I didn't realize we were still experiencing problems with crime and drug dealing in the neighborhood.  Thank you for letting me know about this.  I reported the shooting to the police and they did come out and file a report but they said there was nothing really they could do.  They felt is was a mischief crime.  I felt it was not personally directed at us, but we were just in the way of someone acting foolish.  I'm glad to hear about the regular patrols in Berry Valley.  That should help.
