In the last two weeks we have had 5 major water leaks in the main line to our house. I checked with SAWS and they told me that the water pressure out here could be as high as 175 psi. It runs anywhere from 35 to 175 psi in SA. We had ours checked and it was 120 psi which is way too high for normal household plumbing. We are having a pressure regulator installed on our line. If you are having water pressure problems you might want to have yours checked.
Thanks, Susan

Thanks for the ''heads up,'' Susan. Joanie and I have not had any problems like the ones you describe, but may have had a water pressure regulator installed by the builder without our knowledge. I'll check with SAWS as (as I understand it) they're the ones who installed the water mains out here. Cheers.

SAWS Water Pressure

I have a pressure gauge that anyone can use to see what the water pressure is on your home. We have also had to install a pressure regulator.
