Drop in at Blue Heron Youth Center any day after school and you will find a variety of kids involved in a variety of activities. More than 40 children attend this program daily. There are two computers and lots of educational software. Kids use the computers to play educational games, go on-line (KIDS ONLY AOL). There may be two or three playing the Dreamcast video game or several playing board games. Occasionally, there are some creating artwork with paint or clay. You will e see 6 or 7 working on homework. Below the youth center there is a game room with two ping pong tables, two air hockey tables and two foosball tables. Outside there are lots of options to choose from: basketball, kickball, tetherball, four square, jump rope, badminton or volleyball. Ms. Kimberly McDowell helps me with the supervision after-school.
