Minutes of Big Springs Neihborhood Watch 4/4/2013

Everyone was welcomed by Olivia Hoens, especially visitors and our guest
speaker, Ricky Marlin from the Buchanan Community Alliance.
Billy Cox gave an invocation and we enjoyed a wonderful pot-luck dinner.
After eating dinner, Chief Deputy Barrett from the Rutherford County
Sheriff’s Department discussed some of the crime in the county and told us that
the sheriff regretted that he had not been able to attend.  Deputy Bogle told us
that there had been no news of crimes in our neighborhood and that our
Neighborhood Watch was doing a good job of watching for suspicious activity.
Ricky Marlin talked about the purposes of the Buchanan Community
Alliance.  He gave an update on the Southeast Fire Station which will be rebuilt
soon.  Horseshoe Downs had a suspicious car sitting in a driveway late one evening.  They left when the home owner turned on all the outside lights.  The
bids for repair work on the Epps Mill Bridge will be let later in April.  They will
continue to monitor the situation for the rezoning of land on Manchester Highway.
The next meeting will be held on June 13th at 7:00 PM.  The meeting was
adjourned at 8:00.
