HOA Welcome Package

Posted in: Briarwick - Houston

I would like to get some feed back for homeowners:

When you purchased your home, did someone make you aware of the HOA dues and deed restrictions?

What would make you feel welcome to the neighbor hood?

What kind of welcome package would like to see?

Any feed back will be appreciated!!!

Thank you,

Linda

I am in the process of purchasing a home in the First Ward that will close on March 11.  I have been looking up civic organizations through Google.  I have found the Houston Superneighborhood #22 and the FirstWardHouston.org.

In reviewing my Seller's Disclosure I noticed on my home there are no HOA fees or deed restrictions.  A main web page such as the one present for the FirstWardHouston would be a great place to maintain all the welcoming information any new resident may want.

I just added to this site a First Ward description.

I've lived in the Mission Bend neighborhood for over 10 years and not once have I gotten a welcome package from my HOA.  I don't even know the closest pool or community hall for my neighborhood.  What I have gotten from HOA in the past are letters advising me to update something in my yard or the exterior of my house.  Some welcome that was.Frown

Hey Linda,

I just move into terrace champions HOA, and i have got to say no on each account, I got no package all i got was a bill telling me i was past due on My fees, I moved in January so i missed the letter i guess,

Anyway not very impressed with them so far, we have a pool in the neighbourhood and i find that you have to pay $35.00 deposit for a key, shouldn't that be covered in the HOA fees,

Thanks

Terry
