SNOW REMOVAL FUND DEPLETED- FEBRUARY 2010

If you have not paid your dues for 2009, we need it NOW! Our Membership Drive was during the fall and ended after the Pumpkin Drop in October. Only 60% of our residents paid the Annual $20.00 dues.

This is a small amount to ask of our 325 homes in our Civic Association. This $20.00 is split into 2 funds. The general operating fund and the snow removal fund. We have had a very snowy winter. The snow plow fund is now depleted.

We feel that if we had 100% participation in our Membership Dues each year, we would not have to think about raising the dues to $30.00.

Please show your civic duty by paying your dues each year. Only 60% of our residents do this, and we appreciate you! The same people who choose NOT to pay the dues are unfairly putting the burden on the residents who always pay. Please show your support by mailing your dues of $20.00 to the address below.

Thank you,

Susan Nichols

Is anything done to ask why these residents haven't paid their dues?  If there was a calling list I'm sure a volunteer could call these people who shirk their responsibility to put some pressure on them.  I would even volunteer for the job!  Or a door to door task force might work better.  Everyone needs to pay their fair share if they expect the roads to be plowed!

Area Representatives, who deliver the newsletters, also have the responsibility to go to each house on their street to collect. Not everyone is home, and not every rep has time to go back more than one time. We then ask residents to mail or drop off membership forms to BWCA Treasurer of Membership chairperson. It is a volunteer based Civic Association and not to be confused with a Homeowners Association which is a mandatory dues payment. We regularly ask for volunteers to help with different committees, in the newsletter. Don't get too many responses. Please contact Tracy Stocker, if you would like to help in the Membership Committee next year. Her # is on the membership form and in our BWCA telephone directory.

Smile We are always looking for volunteeers to help in the neighborhood.  Would you be interetsd in assisting me with the Welcoming Committee?  You can reach me at janetfletcher2002@yahoo.com
