I live on R Street NW and walk my dog daily to the triangle park for relief. I also happen to always make sure to carry a means of collecting doggy deposits for proper disposal. Unfortunately it seems many other people are forgetting to do the same! There is enough doggy poop in that park to fertalize a small farm.

I know people can be forgetful on occaision. I was wondering if the civic association could put containers with collection bags in the park for people who have forgotten their bag. Alternatively perhaps a few posted photos of people who fail to collect would make a difference

I also walk my dog to the park. Unfortunately, the problem isn't forgotten bags, but people who just don't care to pick up the poop. The best we can do is to continue to pick up our dog's poop and hope that others will follow our example. Don't hold your breath, bad habits die hard.

I think supplying bags will help remind people to act responsibly. I also think if you see someone not picking up poop it would be great to snap a picture of them and post it in the park with the caption, "leaves poop for you to step on," or something similar. Public embarrassment may go a LONG way to help shame people into doing the right thing

Although posting photos would be a great way to get folks to smarten up, I just wonder about the ramifications of something like this?  We might just need to be brave and politely say something to our neighbors who have been forgetful, or simply do not know to do this.
