During the irrigation seasons, and sometimes after major winter precipitation events, I will post readings from my NWS quality gauge, as replies to this discussion. Readings in season will normally be taken on the morning after the precipitation occurred. Periods of absence will be shown as accumulative precipitation over the period of absence. The gauge is near Windjammer and Lexington, and should be fairly representative of our neighborhood. I hope you find the information useful.

Blizzard 26 October 2006
Snow from blizzard was last measured precipitation. Melted down to 0.55'' of water, which is conservative, since gauge over-filled and failed to catch all of snow depth that fell.

Pre Christmas Blizzard
I emptied 0.81'' of water from my gauge on Dec 27th, melted down from the blizzard snow. Probably lost some to evaporation before I measured and emptied the gauge, so that reading is pretty conservative. Stay safe and warm!
