I agree... anyone who runs for office adn subjects themselves to all the crap they get deserves a medal. On the other hand, nobody is forcing them to run so if the kitchen is too hot you can always get out.

Why would Powers want to be a Selectman? He held positions on the School Committee, as Moderator and Town Clerk. Selectmen would be a step down and cause him to have to operate as past of a committee rather than again. My guess is that he's moved on to better things where he can actually earn a pay check fo rhis efforts.

He'll run again someday I bet. Maybe when the pizzaman cashes out, by taking a job down on Grove Street with his alter ego.

You are someone from which to stay away. Anyone who would support an egocentric person is no one to take advice from. We have enough ego in government; for you to suggest we vote for an egocentric individual and an eccentric is absurd.
