We made it much too rich.
Property taxes are still too high in Massachusetts but not as high as they were and certainly not as high as they were heading before the passage and implementation of the initiative petition known as Proposition 2?½.

Please remember folks
our assessments have gone way up over the last 5 years. So not only are we paying an increase of 2 1/2% but we are also paying that increase on the increased assessments. I have looked back on my tax bills from 2000-2004 and believe me my house is no larger and has not been moved to a waterfront property but my tax bill has doubled! Yes we can sell our homes for more money than we could 5 years ago but where can we go in the state and pay less? Everything is relevent!!!!!
