I was wondering what happened to the chain link fence at Hollis Playground.
The playground looked really great and kids seemed to be enjoying.
If some drunken *&-# ran into it please make sure he/she has to pay for the damage.
Hope this is fixed quickly as its on a street traveled by many and currently an eyesore.

Please tell me why a playground for young children was placed right next to a sidewalk - with a fence that has no integrity in protecting the children in the event there was an accident. Look up the definition of accident in the dictionary - does it have the words ''drunk'' or ''loser'' in it????? Accdients are unforseen and unexpected events - you don't need to be drunk or a loser to be in an accident. The auto insurance company on the vehicle who hit the fence should pay for it. What concerns me more is protecting the kids inside the playground - fortunately no one was hurt this time - but what about the next accident - what if it happens at at time of day when there are alot of children there and a big SUV goes through the fence?????????? The play ground itself is a great idea and looks great and is enjoyed by many, however, it's location leaves alot to be desired.

IF the loser was drunk he should pay for it.
It sucks that our insurance rates go up each year to cover the damage caused by drunken driving ( but that is another topic) I do agree that the playground probably should have been back another 20 feet but that won't happen. Perhaps a ''great wall'' to protect the kids from drunken drivers, child snatchers etc. Funded by those fined in Braintree for drunk driving.
IF an accident then the insurance should pay. Accidents can happen to anyone.
