Town of Braintree

I was told today, that when the town wants to spend major money, they have to pass it by either town meeting or a town vote, (not quite sure). However when the town decided to build that montracity library and highlands firehouse, ''they'' just decided to do it. Can anyone enlighten me as to who is ''they'' and if it was the BOS, who was on the board at the time. I was told we borrowed the money to build these facilities, to which we are still paying back. Did these people muck up here making this decision, as we are in such crisis TODAY with out roads, schools, ect? Also, that big firetruck that the Highlands facility could not accommodate, how was that approval acquired,(voted on or just decided)and where is it's home today?

where is that big firetruck we had
at one time?
as I recall it was taller than the garage doors and the roof.
did the town return it for a smaller model?Is it hidden in some garage in town never to see the light of day.
If any have information please come forth and spill the beans.This foolish
allocation of town resources without even basic measurements being made
must come to an end.

Answer the questions

The point of the post here is were these decisions made without the vote of either town meeting or the people of braintree or made with the BOS. BOS makes these random ''purchases'', now some 10 years later, people of Braintree want me to vote for a 2 1/2 override?
