America may be doomed

I have no problem believing the worst about that despicable, duplicitous traitor. I still have not heard a plausible explanation of ''How did Kerry manage to pull it all off?'' I am mostly talking about his using and manipulating the military, the U.S. government, and the political arena for his own self-serving personal agenda.
Were there socialist ideologues behind him all along? Was the liberal, biased media more powerful than the government back then? They act like they are now.
I believe that if Kerry wins, America, as we know it, will be doomed. That is, short of Divine intervention.

As a volunteer Vietnam-era Air Force veteran, I did not have the privilege of serving my country in Vietnam although I volunteered for that duty. But my brother did serve in Vietnam in the Army Special Forces.
I recall picking him up when he returned to California from Vietnam and I vividly recall the Kerry Kooks calling him a ''baby killer'' and spitting on him! ''It is seared in my mind''!
I remember Kerry and his ''band of communists'' spreading their filth, lies, communism and dishonor, while my brother was being spit on.
When you hear the Kerry Kooks say ''they support the troops but not the commander in chief'', do not believe it for a moment. They have never stopped despising and hating our military ?– they have just learned that it is not ''acceptable'' to physically ''spit'' on them any longer, but ''spit on them'' they do.
My brother is dead now and he never experienced or realized the honor and respect that real Americans are now showing our military. He would have been honored to serve under President Bush, as I would have.

Assuaging a 30-year wound

For 30 years or so I have lived with the memory of the treatment I received upon my return from military service. Never did I expect to be treated so shamefully for my service to this ''Our Country.'' To finally see someone in a respected media position call that traitorous human being what he is, a traitor, does so very much to wipe the hurt of the words and the vileness of the spit away. Thank you, Joseph, for being a standup American.

I don't know if there is a statute of limitations for treason, but it seems that if there is hard evidence for treason as related in your recent editorials then today is the day someone should file the charges.
If the mainstream press won't play this story, they would certainly be forced to if someone brought criminal charges against Kerry just days before the election.
I would (and I'm sure many others would) be willing to contribute to a legal fund toward prosecuting the case.
America (barely) survived the treachery of the Clinton administration. I don't know if we will survive an administration with John Kerry at the helm.

A fallen hero vindicated

My father, Capt. David Warren Watson, died in Vietnam in 1969. My whole life, I have been made to feel ashamed that my father was a part of that dirty little war.

It was not until I left the public school system and joined the Marine Corps that I learned why I was made to carry the sins of my father ?– sins I should have never had to carry and that he was never a party to.

Thank you for what you are doing. Thank you for giving the Swift Boat Veterans a voice. Thank you for loving this country as much as I do and as much as they do.
As irony would have it, my father graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. My mother still lives in Lubbock. My father was commissioned there before going to Vietnam the first time. To find out now that TTU is the place where the documents were found is just plain weird.
In a few weeks, I will visit my father's grave. I never leave things there; I know he cannot see them. I will, however, take all of your reported articles on Kerry's activities and leave them by his headstone. All I can do is tell him he has been vindicated.

My jaw hit the floor when I read about the IRS ''banning'' prayer for Bush in a church ...
I am a military service member, serving overseas, and I have to wonder how much longer they'll keep chapels on military bases? Can I pray in uniform, or do I need to wait until I get home and change? Oh wait, I'll still be on base. Is that legal?
Where does it stop? Strangely, certain other candidates seem to have carte blanche to stump from the pulpits of Southern, black churches. The Internal Revenue Service needs a few links taken out of their chain. If this doesn't get the evangelical community off their respective duffs and fighting mad, then nothing will.
I pray it does.

No more 1st Amendment

This makes me furious! John Kerry goes to black churches and, from the pulpit, gives blatant campaign speeches ?– and nobody stops him. Yet, churches can't hold prayer services to pray for our president's return to office for four more years.
What about the protection of free speech? I am so livid I can't even form well-written or cohesive paragraphs.

This is one of the most powerful things I've read in a long time ?– and its truth resounded inside me while I read it. That's the odd thing about truth (not odd as in ''questionable,'' but odd as in ''unfamiliar''): It sounds a clear call inside the person who is reading or hearing it.
