Can our major town businesses and businessmen set up an avenue so our town residents can contribute.

Can you get your business friends here in Braintree to setup a fund or a drop off center so Braintree residents can drop off checks, food or items ?

Concerned and motivated Braintree residents, call any and all influence peddlers here in town and get them to setup something so that Braintree residents can contribute.

Braintree residents are very generous when it comes to helping victims of natural disasters, (not for money grubbing politicians and over zealous union employees wanting to line their pockets).

You put it right on your campaign literature!
Call your influential campaign money backers and get something setup. Your residents will turn out and contribute.

Come out with a game that will redirect money to Southeast Asia. Get it done no excuses. You need special legislation ? Get it but get it done.

Now is the time for Braintree's leaders, elected politicians, big businessmen, big businesses to get their fund raising efforts into high gear. Braintree residents will turnout in higher numbers than a 2 1/2 over ride ballot question.

Hey fruit cake you have to much time on your hands. Worry about what you are going to do and the rest will worry about themselves.

the problem is now how to

get the aid to those who need it. forget things like food or water, it cost more to ship and is cheaper if purchased locally. they have set up water purification/production plants locally and any non canned food would spoil in transit.
They also would exceed its value in shipping costs. they have limited transportation to isolated area's the Europeans like for vacation .a large number of victims were swept out to sea and will never be found!
after all is counted the death toll will be astronomical and after watching the small size of the waves on t.v. if a real Tsunami struck with waves in excess of several hundred feet nothing would survive.
The estuaries and low laying coast line is a major cause of damage and death allowing the waves to flow far inland.
