Our troubles will end when the town stops giving out raises and perks in excess of the 2 1/2 percent that we can raise property taxes. If we had followed that rule, the increase in valuations and additional taxes from new properties would have kept us in the black.
The School Committee must stop giving large raises to teachers, big perks to the Superintendent etc.
The rest of town departments must fall in line as well.
And last, the Quinn bill needs to go.
Vote no on all overides.
