that Anonymous? hee hee, only kidding. Thank you for taking the time. Wouldn't you think that a utility company would be better able to strike longer purchase agreements? If they could, then our bills would not fluctuate as freguently as they do. I appreciate your help, you saved me a phone call.

As the Energy Advisor at BELD, I thought I would chime in here. Neither our rates, nor the PCA has changed since August 2003. We have been able to avoid increases even in the face of significantly higher fuel prices.

Fluctuations in monthly electric bills are the result of changes in usage, not price. Often this is due to differences in the length of the billing period. A few days more or less can make a noticible difference. Overall however, the same number of kilowatts cost the same from month to month.
