To those of you who know computers, what would you rather have, a cable or DSL generated installation? Maybe you could let me know the pros and cons of both. Thanks for your opinions in advance. |

dsl is a varient of high speed technology,the signal is differetial in nature and depends on the type on telephone connection you have.If in a dense area such as a factory/industrial area it can be unreliable.DSL isnt available in all area's broad band cable is a much more natural high speed technique.it is more secure,less noise and expandable.if you have cable tv the wiring is for the most part there already.if you decide on cable internet make sure you buy your own modem,surfboards, motorola modems are available from most comp stores,best buy,comp usa.the cable company you choose will rent you one but you will pay more in the long run.shop around for the best price on the modem about $40 dollars. |

not that easy
Even if you put the machine on after applying your fav. Vscan program ..etc . The machine is still vulnerable until patched. So Granny ...you need to filter packets using the advanced settings in the TCP/IP Network settings - apply tcp/ip filtering temporarily get your windowz patches then go wild ...
