are the teachers raises a done deal, or do they have to be approved by selectmen and/or town meeting?

needs to appropriate the funds for the raises. The existing school dept budget will not cover the raises, so their budget needs to be increased. I hope the tm votes no. The SC knew there was not money for raises and although the town can scrap enough money for teacher raises this year by using one time revenue sources, we cannot cover the raises next year without making cuts somewhere. If the sc wants to give raises, let them find the money in their budget.

they'll figure it out.the school committee is not the only group
looking for money.how they handle this will prove it one way or another.

Kramer & Kramer. By the way, do the math, teachers, you wil receive more
that the % the contract states if you
do the math correctly. And then there's those dreaded longevity raises
and step raises which you teachers abhor. A leach is a leach.
