Town of Braintree

Well, Ackerman Finalist Again!

Posted in: Braintree
Our daunted executive secretary, Terri Ackerman, is listed as one of two finalists in contention to get the first ever Town Administrator appointment in the Town of Wayland. Selectmen in that town have an incumbent ''interim'' executive secretary who is also a finalist for Hector The Wrecker Rivera's vacancy of Town Manager in the Town of Ashland as the other finalist to become Wayland's first ever Town Administrator. The Wayland Town Crier (their Braintree Forum) states in an article about Ackerman, ''she said her strengths are getting people to work together and working with both municipal finances and personnel matters''. ''I'm a concensus building collaborator,'' said Ackerman in this news article. She was an unsuccessful finalist in Saugus. She was an unsuccessful finalist in Sudbury. She was an unsuccessful finalist in Winchester. Now she is one of two finalists remaining of 25 candidates in Wayland. Coming in second place is like kissing your sibling. The Wayland Selectmen are scheduled to make a decision next week. Good Luck Terri Ackerman. Braintree wasn't a good fit for you and I'm sure that commute you make daily really is taxing.

Ninety Five Grand and Unhappy?

Geeze, this lady doesn't get it, now does she? We pay her ninety five thousand dollars and she must be spending as much time away from her job her in Braintree to become a candidate for other jobs elsewhere? What's wrong with ninety five grand, you ingrate? What a waste of time and money we've been spending on this Casey coveted executive over the past few years. Obviously, she knows she is a bad fit for our town. She's never seen at local events in our town. She shies away from interfacing daily with taxpayer visitors to the Selectmen's office, yet she feels she's a good collaborator? Well, I say good riddance. Can't tell a book by it's cover is the old addage and her Harvard degree in government obviously doesn't mean squat on the job. Wayland's gain is Braintree's gain. Let's move on. No wonder why she convinced the town to hire a finance director or dpw director because she didn't spend enough time in her office to do these same things she came here in the first place. We in effect gave her the time off to pursue greener pastures elsewhere by hiring other new job people to do her job. We've all been duped since she arrived. Let's hope we can say good-bye and let's move on and find someone who gives a crap about Braintree instead of giving a crap about finding a better job elsewhere. She and Hector Rivera both came here, but were ants in their pants as soon as they arrived looking elsewhere for another job.

Hey Hackerman!

Defeat = For every winner, there dozens of losers. Odds are you're one of them.

Failure = When your best just isn't good enough.

Losing = If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style.

Not Happy? Leave!

Seems to this writer if Ms. Ackerman is unhappy here in Braintree, our Selectmen should set her free. She cares about as much about Braintree as Hector Rivera did - zilch! She collects a very decent wage and we're not getting a fair return for what we're paying her to do. She should be compelled to give a weekly prepared summary report of what her involvements have been since the previous BOS meeting, but are our Selectmen that naive to demand such? Once they know how little of substance she is accomplishing, she'd be set free the next day. All Koko and his Locomen want is to praise, feebly handle minutiae issues on television and to slam quiet Mr. Egan and Mr. Hubbard. Our tax classification hearing tonight will be a dooza example of soft touch approach of government. Any business that says ''too expensive to do business here in TaxaBraintree and leaves'' will find another business on their coatails filling the space. It's all about location. I'd give a bundle for Koko to throw this issues into the lap of our Executive Secretary for her recommendation. She'd need to change her underwear if asked. Worse is the lack of a substance filled answer. For $95 grand a year!
