Is it true that the only rule in the fire department is that they can't go to sleep until nine at night? If they don't have the minimum manning of 17 does that mean they have to stay awake?

Every 5 months when they have a fire they complain about not having enough staff. What about when they sleep. Do they complain if there are not enough of them sleeping.

I think when there are to many of them working there aren't enough beds to go around, so no they don't complain then.

I have never seen anything like this. Adults who rip apart these guys because their job entitles them that they can goto to bed. You people have no respect for these fine Men and Women who will risk their lives when needed for strangers like yourselves. They may not have fires everyday but when the times comes they do their job and do the best they can no matter what the call is no matter what time or weather they will be there even if its for you idiots. Maybe you should move to Gardner were the taxes are probably less because they only pay 5 firefighter per shift and look what happened out there. You people only hear when they have a fire not about the medicals they go on and having to CPR on people with families screaming over them. If anybody has had to use the fire Dept. please send them a message and let them know you appreciate them.
