Because the Park Committee voted to put it at Hollis Field. And Bruce Tobin, chairman, objected to that. He thinks it should be in East Braintree. He thinks somebody should look into doing that.

Hey Bruce - why don't you talk to the Board that you chair. You moron! Arguing that Peterson Pool shouldn't go where your board voted to put it is pretty stupid. YOu either weren't paying attention or just to hear the sound of your own voice. Can't wait to get rid of you from that Board. And I know a few of your fellow members werent too happy to hear you criticize their vote.

I've Been Waiting for Pool?

Why can't this town agree on something? The Park Commission gave the green light to permit the pool at Hollis Field right smack in the center of our town. We hear the board chairman comment that he'd prefer it go to the high school if it can't go where it was supposed to go at Watson Park. The Site Committee did their due diligence and everyone seemed to be in agreement that Hollis Field was a good fit. Now back to where are we? Another 40 years? Actually, build the pool at Hollis Field and damm the defiant! Tobin should be speaking for his board's concensus, not his personal opinion if he wants to hear himself speak at town meeting!
