The out going director did not meet the qualifications for the job when she got it so why should that change now.

Interim's shoudld be the way

With the government study committee working to propose some changes in our government, nothing should be done in the hiring of and Executive Secretary or Personnel Director. People should be put in place on an interim basis to keep things moving.

I can't imagine that Egan handed out compliments to Ackerman on her work for the town. If we have the talent internally, then an opportunity should be extended but they shouldn't receive an increase until they have shown that they can handle the job.

Nothing permanent should be done until after Town Meeting has finished.
