Town of Braintree

does anyone know what it takes to run for town meeting? when are the papers due back in? i believe 10 signatures are required, can signatures be acquired from people not living in your precinct?, etc. etc.

Town Meeting Membership.

Wouldnt the Town Clerks office have that information?

To run

Go to the town clerk's office and get your papers. You need 10 signatures but get 15, all from your own precinct. All registered voters in you house can sign.

Nomination papers are back by Feb.15, 4:30 p.m.

The following are the requirements
for town meeting:

1. You'll need lots of money. It is
very expensive to run a campaign.
2. Get lots of plastic. You'll be
covered in mud by the time the election
comes.
3. Watch your opponent like a hawk, lots lies will be speard about you, there will be lots of dirty tricks.
