Do you work in Braintree and want a raise, you've got it, need another day off with pay, you've got it, want to increase your longevity and pension, you've got it, think a bonus would be nice, you've got it, need more personnel, you've got it; if you work in Braintree you may just want to put a call into payroll and make sure the funds are there for your next paycheck. All of these requests may be deserving, but folks, the money is not there. Why aren't our leaders listening to our finance director who clearly stated level funding for FY 06. And I have to wonder if anything is ever conceded by the Unions during negotiations or are the benefits simply layerd on. Albeit it may be in our best interest to have more fire and police personnel we cannot afford them at this time. For their own protection is it wrong to suggest that they restructure their coverage for the time being. I would ask our leaders if they would run their homes on a negative balance?
