Family Resident Council Newsletter
April 2007
Greetings families and Happy Spring!
A few items that your council would to inform you about:
1. PLEASE BE OBSERVENT OF THE SURROUNDINGS AS YOU DRIVE IN AND OUT OF NOREMBEGA PARK! THE CHILDREN ARE OUT IN FORCE NOW AND THEY SOMETIMES FORGET TO LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING. THIS ALSO INCLUDES KEEPING THE SPEED LIMIT OF 15 MPH IN NOREMEGA PARK AND 25 MPH ON THE OFF SITES. IF ALL VISITORS COULD BE REMINDED, THAT WOULD BE A GREAT SERVICE TO THE KIDS!
2. The shed on Rinfret Drive is now open and stocked with equipment. The shed will be kept locked and a key will be kept at Apt. 701 on Rinfret Drive. Darren Nadeau has graciously offered to be the Athletic Coordinator and he is in charge of signing in and out the equipment. If you do sign something out, please return it in good condition and the same day. In the event Darren , nor anyone else at the residence is available, there will be a notice on the shed telling you where the key is and who has the authorization to open the shed.
3. The next meeting will be help in May. April was a very busy month and we did skip a meeting this month. The meeting minutes of the March 2007 meeting are located on the Resident Council website. Look for the notice the second week of May.
We have started a fundraising campaign that includes Bake Sales, Ink Jet/Cartridge and Cell Phone recycling. That flyer will also be sent out with the next meeting notice.
We are a community. We need to pull together and act like one. We have plans to fix or replace the current playground, add additional play space for our youngest residents aged 1-5, the annual BBQ and of course the Holiday Party. None of this can take place unless we all get together and do this. Fundraising can not be done by one or two people. It takes time and effort and just like everything in life, you must put the effort to get the results. The children are the goal. The goal can be accomplished. But we need everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. And I do hope to see more people at the next meeting.
