About a month ago, our dog, Jack wondered away from our back yard while the yard man was mowing the lawn. We'd spent hours looking for him with no luck just before we had to go out of town. Having been pressed for time we gave up and had to leave while my sister stayed vigilant and visited the animal shelter for days. After returning from our trip we soon found out from some kind neighbors on Swallow Ave. who told me they knew exactly who had Jack. We were relieved to find out that our neighbor Alma Lara at 2300 Sandpiper had rescued Jack from busy 23rd St as he nearly got hit by the fast moving traffic going by. Jack had been safe in her yard the whole time even though she didn't know who's dog he was. It's our fault he lost his tags in the first place. I can't tell you how grateful we are to have Ms. Lara as our neighbor. It's so nice to know that we have such kind and caring neighbors like Ms. Lara. I'd like to thank Alma Lara for her kindness and love she has shown to our dog. May God Bless her always.
