Big O Tires - Berkeley Polluter

Posted in: Berkeley CA

As the neighbor who lives directly behind Big O tires in Southwest Berkeley I would like to make Berkeley residents and beyond aware that Big O tires on San Pablo Avenue and Carleton Street stores tires in an unsealed building which emits a noxious odor over the nearby houses and neighborhood.

Despite repeated complaints from neighbors the owner has not taken fairly simple and inexpensive steps to seal the building where the tires are stored. There are open vents in the building where the tires are stored within a yard of a nearby house. Needless to say the windows must remain closed 90% of the time.

Excuse me -- people live here!!!! Tires emit nosious gases - and in hot weather the problem is exacerbated.

THE NEIGHBORS OF CARLETON STREET AND SAN PABLO DESERVE to breath clean air!
