Neighborhood Watch and Neighborhood Association Meeting 02/24/10

Our first  meeting was on Wed 02/24/10 @ 7.pm

Neighborhood Watch meeting was held by Detective Wendall Johnson, He gave us some valuable information verbally and written about how to keep our homes and neighborhood safe. He also shared information on who to call for what and when. I have pamphlets available for those of you who were not able to attend.  

We also spoke to Sammy Sias with the Neighborhood Association Alliance. He shared information about why people in neighborhoods start these types of organizations and how to start them as well as the benefits of starting one. I will be getting with him at a later date gathering written materials on Neighborhood Associations for those of you who may be interested in starting one for Birnam Woods.

As I stated in the meeting I am not in any way trying to impose my views on anyone, but inorder to keep our neighborhoods safe and keep crime down to a bare minimum we all have to be on the same page.

So feel free to appoint yourself as a block captains and post the information here on this web-site and or inform our neighbors. I will be passing out the forms that Detective Johnson gave us on block captains and neighborhood watch. As he stated this organization needs to be maintained by someone that is going to be living in this neighborhood fr the long haul, I will not be living here for the long haul, I am merely assisting you (the residents of Birnam Woods) in getting this/these organizations started.
