Thanks for the concern about this friendly pit-mix dog. I did take her to the Animal Defense League and found she was adopted from that organization. I was told that they don't take pitbulls, but since she was adopted from there they would make an exception. In the meantime, my son brought his pitbull (also from the Animal Defense League) over to my house to see if the dogs would be compatible. They were. He could also walk the two together, and my granddaughter and Morgan (the found dog's name) hit it off. So now Morgan has a new home with a sister dog and two cats.
Morgan did have a microchip. I called the owner who did not want her back and said I could give her to anyone I wanted. She was so friendly and so much fun I couldn't stand the thought of giving her to Animal Control. Again, thanks for the concerns and offers of help. I'm sure Morgan thanks you also.
