How can we recruit new members?

Posted in: Carney
The C.I.A. Has been steadily growing since it's inception. However, we still need a great number of new members to bolster our roster. What is the best way to gain new members?

Why not consider combining with other similar associations? It could reduce overhead and duplicate efforts since all groups appear to be working for similar purposes, and the line between areas in many cases is hazy. It may be more effective in the long run. Maybe specific geographic areas could be a sub-committee of the expanded group. Just a thought.
Why Combine?

The main reason for which this association was formed was the lack of interest in this area by other associations in the area. If combined, the area to be represented would be entirely too large for one organization to manage. What all of our comunity associations truly need is a countywide umbrella organization to oversee and manage concerns of the people served.

Your point is well taken. Carney representation would need to be in place in the situation of a combination. A county wide umbrella would seem to be more difficult to assemble than, lets say a northeastern umbrella comprised of Carney and the immediately surrounding associations. You could maintain the same independence to some extent yet share resources.
