Neighborhood Meeting: Dec 10th, 2008, Resurrection Lutheran

Mar 05, 2009

Here are some highlights from our last neighborhood meeting. Comments, ideas or suggestions for our next meeting? E-mail us at bvhainfo@yahoo.com.

Reports of rolling stops and no stops at many of our busiest intersections. Please, respect the speed limit and stop signs in BV to keep our residents and especially our children safe.

Parking Gone Wild!!! Many of our lanes, courts, and more narrow streets are hard for cars, buses and emergency equipment to pass when neighbors park on the street. Please utilize your garage and driveway for your additional cars so our streets are easy for normal traffic, fire equipment, mail delivery, snow removal, street cleaning, trash pick-up, etc.

House Cats Gone Wild!!! There are have been reports of feral cats in the neighborhood. Please resist the urge to feed these cats and keep close tabs on your own cats for their safety.

Dogs Gone Wild!!! Your friendly dog may react differently when another dog or curious child comes along. All dogs and cats must be on a leash (Hilliard City Code!) when not confined by a fence. Protect your pet and your neighbors from unwanted interactions by securing your pet while on and off your property.

Digital Antennae: The switch from analog and to digital broadcasts has been delayed until June 12th. If an internal antennae is not enough to pull in your favorite broadcasts, consider installing an antennae in your attic. It will get you a better signal, protect your antennae from the elements and keep your house free of external fixtures.

Solar & Wind Energy: Some neighbors have been curious about how renewable energy will fit into our deed restrictions. Home solar and wind energy options were cost prohibitive in the ?‘80s and ?‘90s when our deed restrictions were established. We support renewable energy and will need to review each owner?’s plans to determine how it balances aesthetics with functionality.
