One of the roles of the civic association is to provide a representative to sit on the Far Northwest Community board. The organization looks out for the areas best interests when dealing with rezoning requests, capital improvements to our parks and infrastructure, and certain code enforcements. This and future updates will highlight some topics discussed in the monthly meeting that may be of interest to you.
Immke Cadillac ?– The former BP station on the corner of Snouffer and Sawmill has been rezoned to accommodate an auto dealership. Immke Cadillac has purchased the tract to construct a new facility for their used car dealership. The stated intent of Immke is to build the site with the same image as the new car dealership across the street. The new car dealership resides in Dublin, and must conform to Dublin?’s building code, which is more stringent than the Columbus code. Therefore, if Immke stays true to their word, the property should not be an eyesore, and in fact an improvement over the former gas station.
Next month I will report on the Hard Road Widening Project, which will commence this year. If you have any questions or concerns related to our community outside of the Brookside Woods development, please forward to me, and I will raise them at the next board meeting.
