I may hang myself out to dry on this one, but I'm actually going to defend some of the griping, because it is actually pretty typical.
I'll reference the recent power outage. Do any of you call LG&E when your lights and heat are working?
Does anyone ever call Louisville Water company and tell them nice job, thanks for the water?
My point of course is, if things aren't broken, as a service provider you never hear from anyone. But if things break.....
Woodlawn Park, in theory provides a service. That service ranges from trash pick up to neighborhood beautification, and everything in between. If something goes wrong, people contact their representatives, and in some cases, come on this board to post about it.
That isn't to say I agree with the public back and forth in all instances. I believe the entire fiasco with the trees, fences, and all that jazz about a year ago went beyond reason.
In the end, I am glad this site exists. It is one of the most active small city forums in the county, and it is a great source of information.
