During the recent power outage a Volkswagen automobile, red in color, possibly a Jetta or a Golf model, was observed by the undersigned parked in front of my house while I was outside.  Two white males were seen walking down my neighbors driveway between our two houses.  When I asked if they needed help, the drivers said that they were looking for some shoveling jobs.  When they left they backed their car down Green Meadow Circle apparantly so I could not get their license number.  A check of Woodlawn Park was made and the car was not found.

If anyone saw a vehicle matching this car, and possibly got a license number please call me with the information. Please do not put this information, if you have it, on the website.  My telephone number is in the telephone book and in our city booklet.

Chief Carter was advised and both of us notified Saint Matthews, and Graymoor-Deavondale Police Departments.

George,

I saw some vehicles while the power was out on Westport Terrace as well. However, being so dark, it was difficult getting license plates. I believe the vehicle make though was a beige Jeep cherokee. The suspects were actually out of their car and I walked outside and they got back in their car.

With that said though....... I did not see Chief Carter any times in the evening during the power outage. Do you know what his hours were during the power outage? Come to think of it, I did not see him much at all. I was home every night watching my neighbors homes.

Our Chief of Police Jim Carter was in school that is  put on by the State of Kentucky for all law enforcement officers, this class is a mandatory 40 hour course.  I do know that he came in a couple of evenings after school was over later in the week and I did see him Saturday.
