Tim Wait called the meeting to order with an introduction of all homeowners present. Following the introductions he reviewed and updated the group on the status of the common area landscaping and Neighborhood Watch projects.
Tim reported that the hydroseeding by the current landscapers was not done satisfactorily. The full bill has not been paid and will not be paid until after spring. Until then we will wait and see how the grass comes up and determine if it should be redone.
The paperwork to get the Neighborhood Watch program started has been submitted. Tim is seeking volunteers to take an active part in the program. Details to come shortly to all homeowners. The program is to be effective January 2002.
Tim also reported that the drainage problem at Nevil Point has been fixed. Louie Gasser asked if the irrigation at the front entrance had been winterized. It has not. Tim is looking into getting it done around December since the temperatures have been very mild so far this fall.
Committee reports were presented as follow:
Architect Committee: According to Tim two proposals were submitted for patio upgrades. They were approved.
Budget Committee: Shaun Wilson presented the budget numbers, which reflected operating expenses at 11, 460 dollars. Operating income is 19, 200 dollars. Of the Pulte contribution of 35,000 dollars, there remains 24,584 dollars. This money is earning interest in a money market account. Shaun reminded everyone to keep up the association dues. We are delinquent by about 2,000 dollars.
Maintenance Committee: Jim Frazier was not present. Tim reported on future goals for the group. For example, ideas were presented to get more homeowners involved with the planting of more flowers in the common areas.
Social Committee: The 2nd annual Christmas Crawl is underway. Volunteers were solicited to host the event by opening their homes up for neighbors to gather. The volunteers for this year include Wanda Hadley, Audrey Ramsey and Joanne Gauthier. There will be light appetizers, heavy hors d'oeuvre and dessert. It is BYOB.
Communications Committee: Audrey Ramsey presented to the group the idea for a hospitality committee. This committee would be responsible for greeting new neighbors and presenting them with a small gift package. Volunteers are needed.
This was the last meeting of the year and with that voting for three outgoing board members was conducted. The positions of President and Budget Director will remain the same. The positions being filled were Secretary, Social Director and Vice President. There were a total of _ homes voting. Rick Sheltz was named the new Vice President with 33 votes. Wanda Hadley, who ran unopposed, is the new secretary. And the new Social Director is Karyn Meucci.
Tim mentioned that we were also looking for a new meeting place. He solicited ideas.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
