BCA Board Meeting Minutes

In attendance: Steve Hoyt (SEUL) and BCA Board members Lily Witham, Susan Linsday, Bethany Pratt, Gilly Burlingham, Jim Andrews, Seann McKeel.

Liquor Advisory Committee-Susan Lindsay asked Lily Witham to join the Liquor Advisory Board and work with Mary Ann Schwab. Lily cannot commit until finding out scheduling details.

Morrison Plaza Update- Susan Lindsay spoke with Lance Killian who owns Morrison Plaza. Mr. Killian stated that the owner of Genoa wants to open an Italian Bistro in one of the plaza spaces.

Crush report- Lily Witham met with Woody Clark, owner of Crush, to talk about the expansion details. The current Crush will be a smoking and gaming room open 5 evenings a week, will have an open bar some (but not all) evenings, while the newer room (site of the old Morrison Tavern) will be a non-smoking restaurant and bar. The patio hours will be until 2am. Some occasional live music. Woody is amenable to signing a GNA.

Agenda for General Meeting, 02/10/05


1.Roadside Attraction: This is a liquor establishment application for a new place on 12th and Yamhill. Proposes live music, djs, and open patio 7 days a week.
Many nearby residents concerned about noise, parking, etc.

2.Earthday Clean-up. The annual Buckman Kerns Cleanup is on. We need you! Come and find out time, place, and manner.

3.Burnside Couch Transportation Plan- PDOT and PDC will come and present The Burnside/Couch Transportation Plan and its associated studies, including the "Catalyst Development Study" for 12th-14th Burnside/Sandy/Davis. Come see what is envisioned. Come and add your ideas and voice your concerns.

4. The PDC will bring us: Burnside Bridgehead Updates. The developers interested in the project have submitted updates. Come and find out what has changed.

5. Other items up for discussion- Updates on Crime, Washington High, SEUL LUTC goals for the next year (which includes stopping big-box construction in the area in general), Budget woes at Parks (which affects gardens and our pool).
