Meeting called to order

Police report (Officer Andy Edgecomb)
General crime stats / 2 arrests for graffiti / financial records stolen from home near 17th & Ash

Adjustment needed for two-story garage built to the property line (near SE 17th & Salmon)
Neighboring property owner is concerned about new structure & doesn’t want the adjustment granted & would like the association to write a letter opposing the adjustment, asking that a structure that won’t require an adjustment be built.
Jim Andrews moved that the BCA submit a letter in opposition to the adjustment, Brianne Eastburn seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous. (Jim will write the letter.)

Hawthorne Lofts
Developer & property owner attended most recent land use meeting. They are still seeking the height adjustment. HAND & immediate neighbors support the adjustment.
Jim Andrews moved that the BCA submit a letter in support of the adjustment, Gilly Burlingham seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous.

Historic Designation Committee (Christine Yun)
Group will be applying for some grants & doing various fundraising activities

20th & Alder Street development
LUBA decision regarding loading zone is scheduled for July 11. If the adjustment is upheld, neighbors would like the support of the BCA (as an intervener) in filing a 3rd appeal in opposition to the combination of the amenity bonus & adjustment. (These are not supposed to occur together.)
Jim Andrews moved that BCA file an appeal to the adjustment, Linda Rhoads 2nd; and the vote was unanimous.

Board of Director Elections
Slate of candidates for two 1-year terms & five 2-year terms
Jim Andrews, Susan Lindsay, Gilly Buringham, MelindaTanasescu, Victoria Blake, Adam Zucker, Randall Howington.
Cathy Lamb-Mullin moved to accept the slate of candidates, Linda Rhoads 2nd the motion, the vote of the general members present was unanimous.

Bridgehead Update
Columbia Sportswear is expressing interest in moving back to Portland to the Bridgehead.

Meeting adjourned 9:08pm

Upcoming meetings
The BCA will be on ‘sabbatical’ for the months of July & August. Regular meetings will resume in September. The board will schedule a ½ work session sometime during the summer break.
