Development on SE 20th & Morrison
Poor communication from developer
“Type 3” dropped, “Type 2” may occur
Neighborhood recourse – contact developer directly, send copy of neighborhood plan for Buckman to developer, speak w/ PDOT RE: traffic concerns

Planning Tools for neighborhood (design review overlay) – quantify guidelines for new structures or main street overlay (Rep from Sunnyside joined conversation regarding overlay / guidelines.)


Susan proposed formation of standing committee to address neighborhood design issues, mentioned possible grant money from city. Attendees were given the opportunity to sign up for the committee.
Susan asked for suggestions for public gardens. (Email her.)

There is “Big Pipe” mitigation money available. How should the money be spent?

PGE has a power pole in Overlook that needs to be moved because of the big pipe project. PGE did not go through proper channels when the pole was installed. They now want to use mitigation money (mentioned earlier) to pay for the pole relocation. Neighbors are encouraged to contact Sam Adams regarding this issue.

PDC will be at September BCA meeting to discuss expansion / extension of urban renewal zone that includes Washington High School.

SUN funding has been partially reinstated.

There will be a Locker room paint party at Buckman Pool September 2, 2006.

Treasurer’s report
BCA received money from SEUL
Current balance is $3800

The Lighthouse Cobb structure near SE 21rst & Madison is available for public use.
